In Hout Bay and throughout South Africa there are many charities that rely heavily on support from volunteers.

There are also many visitors in SA wanting to donate their time and skills where they can to assist

It was because of this  that we decided to create the Hout Bay Voluntourism Initiative and, through our many years of experience, are able to connect those visitors to our town that are willing to help with numerous organisations within our area... but with a twist.

What Hout Bay tourism offers are fully inclusive Voluntourism packages tailor made to put a volunteers skills set to use where it is best suited and most needed, providing accommodation and tours and activities in one neat little bundle.

Visitors wanting to donate their time and skills are asked to provide basic information for example, length of stay, whether accommodation is required or not, how many days they would like to volunteer, how many days they would like to explore and do activities, what their skill set is and if they have any preference for the type of charity work they would like to do, all this information is then combined resulting in a volunteer being perfectly matched with an organisation which is in dire need of help but also with a great itinerary allowing them to do good while still enjoying everything SA has on offer

A tourism initiative such as this allows for volunteers to effortlessly find a balance between spending time helping others while also enjoying their visit to the upmost. It essentially takes the hassle out of the administrative portion of their trip and allows them to focus on exactly what they set out to achieve. This initiative aids in promoting all the incredible excursions that are on offer in Hout Bay while creating a positive impact on the place, the locals and the many charity organisations within Hout Bay.
